“Vitamins…” ahhh, what the well-meaning will do.

I can’t imagine making such a choice either… and I wonder if, back then, the doctors would even have ‘allowed’ a ‘wait’ option since they had previously simply done the deed without even telling the parents. Nor can I imagine the shock of ‘discovering’ that my apparent gender was someone else’s choice! I think I’d have flipped.
