The Subtlety of Compassion

The Sacred Hurt … V Pendragon

Compassion says to stay within

yet

Compassion says reach out… but without longing, or wanting, or needing

Expecting nothing

Your ‘help’ is no help if it is not wanted

Sometimes things just happen

And you must let them

No matter how it hurts

This is because many things

- Especially people things –

Will mend themselves given time

Given space

Those ways are best as mostly they arise on their own

From whence the seed for the need was planted

And when they do

They bring with them

A quality of respect that nothing ese can

So I see your sorrow

And I leave you to it

I will be here for you when you are ready

For now

I leave you

Blessedly alone with your pain

To lay foundation for what comes next

It hurts my heart to feel yours break

But that, too, will resolve itself in time

Much like a growing plant in someone’s garden

We receive what it is we need to be able to grow

And sometimes what we get is shit
