Yesterday I had a doctor’s appointment “in town,” as we like to say out here in the hills. “In town” is a good 45 minutes away — if you’re lucky and don’t get stuck behind a tractor on the way out — and it’s where all the doctors are. So, I had to “look nice…” or at least appear civilized which I often don’t. I don’t, because I don’t have to. I live in the middle of nowhere, and I paint, and, as a rule, I tend to point my brushes by sweeping them across…
